PARIS — The McLaughlin Garden & Homestead is having its annual Fairy House workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 8. All natural materials will be supplied for folks to build fairy houses.

Each house costs $5 and the creations will be added to the fairy house village for Garden Illuminated, which will be held the following weekend. Folks will be able to pick up their fairy houses on Sunday, July 15.

A special Family Garden Illuminated will be held at McLaughlin Garden from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 13. There will have a fairy and gnome dance party, debut of the new woodland fairy house village, candles throughout the garden and light refreshments in the barn. Children dressed as fairies or gnomes will get a prize. The cost for the evening is $5 per person or $20 per family. The rain date is July 27.

McLaughlin Garden will host its traditional Garden Illuminated from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 14. The garden will be filled with more than 500 candles. The evening will feature traditional Celtic and Acadian fiddle music by Fleur de Lis with Paul Cormier. Appetizers will be served. Admission is $20 per person or $15 for members, which includes one drink and food; a cash bar will be available. The rain date is July 28.
