Dear Sun Spots: I travel from Jay to Topsham and back, Monday through Friday. I have to be in Topsham by 7 a.m. and leave Topsham anywhere between 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. I am in need of someone to car pool with. While I need to adhere to the early-morning start, the leaving is more flexible.

If anyone needs/wants a ride anywhere between those two points at those times, or if you travel that route and I could ride with you, please e-mail me at [email protected] or call 779-6951 and we can see about working something out. – Michael, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: The Walton Elementary School at 92 Mary Carroll St. in Auburn is is need of a good, used microwave for our teacher’s kitchen. Also, we’d love a 9-by-12 carpet for our art room, preferably in blue, although any color would be fine as long as it’s in good condition.

If there is anyone who might have one or both of these items that could possibly be donated, it would be greatly appreciated. You may call Mrs. Michelle McClellan, the school principal, and leave a message with her. She can be reached at 784-1528. – Diane Lebrun, president, Walton Elementary School PTO, Auburn.

Dear Sun Spots: I am retired and would like to make things with wood, like lawn ornaments. Would anyone know how I can get some patterns, or maybe someone has some that I could copy? I really would appreciate it. Please call 754-3333. – Bob from Lisbon.

Dear Sun Spots: In response to the reader who was seeking input about others familiar with or using Edenpure products. I am not one bit satisfied with their heaters or air conditioners. If they even work, they don’t work for long. One woman had a terrible time with the air conditioner. It leaked from day one! – Hot and Cold in No Town.
