MONKTON, Vt. (AP) – Vermont State Police fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that killed a 66-year-old Monkton man.

Police say Richard Bigue was found dead in his home after the fire was extinguished.

The fire was reported at 11:15 p.m. Saturday.

Police say two other occupants of the home escaped without injury.

While police say they don’t know what caused the fire, it is not considered suspicious.
