NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – A jury has found a New Hampshire man guilty of robbing a Hudson convenience store days before he allegedly shot and killed a Manchester police officer.
Twenty-seven year old Michael Addison of Manchester was charged with holding a clerk at gunpoint while a cohort vaulted the counter and grabbed about $300 cash. The robbery was Oct. 11, 2006.
The jury deliberated for less than two hours.
Addison is charged with capital murder in police Officer Michael Briggs’ shooting death on Oct. 16, 2006. Briggs and his partner were investigating a domestic disturbance call.
Last month, Addison was convicted of being involved in another shooting incident on Oct. 15th that year, although he was acquitted of charges that he fired a gun in that incident.
