PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) – School officials say their district is the first in New Hampshire to use a web-based database to keep better track of students.
Superintendent Bob Lister said the Portsmouth School Department is installing a system called Infinite Campus, a student information system already being used in 206 districts across the country, but not in New Hampshire.
School Department technology director Susan Birrell said Infinite Campus will help schools implement a “follow the child” program that allows administrators, teachers and parents to track individual students’ grades and other data over time.
