MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – Ashley Hayes left her car stuffed with Christmas presents unattended, keys in it for just a minute but that was enough for someone to steal it from a city street.
Hayes said she and her fiance left the car warming up while they said good-bye Christmas Eve and when they walked back outside the car and everything in it were gone.
They reported the theft, then hunted around the neighborhood for a sign of the car and stolen presents. They changed the locks to their apartment.
The next day police found the car blocks from their home. The gifts were missing though some items were found on the side of the road.
Police said they’ve made no arrests.
