MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – More than a pound of crack-cocaine was seized by state and local authorities in what is believed to be one of the largest crack busts in New Hampshire.

Police arrested two men on Monday after a delivery that netted 14 ounces of crack, said Lt. Jim Stankiewicz. Later, another five ounces were seized in a search at their home.

“The nearly 20 ounces of crack represents one of the largest seizures in the state of New Hampshire,” Stankiewicz said.

Ellsworth Gottlieb, 26, and Raymond Jackson, 26, were jailed on $500,000 bail. They were scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Manchester District Court on charges of possession of crack with intent to sell.

Stankiewicz said police will try to follow the drugs’ route, with asset seizures or other arrests possible.

“They’ll trace this up and down and see where it is going,” he said.
