CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – Power was expected to be restored across New Hampshire and Maine by evening to homes and businesses that were left in the dark from high winds that caused widespread power outages across the region.
In New Hampshire, fewer than 1,000 Public Service Company customers remained without power midafternoon Sunday. At the peak on Saturday, more than 50,000 New Hampshire homes and business were without electricity.
In Maine, Central Maine Power said about 150 customers were without power, down from about 18,000 that were without electricity Saturday.
