ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – A 23-year-old Rochester man police say threatened people on the street with a knife early Sunday faces a variety of charges.

Authorities say they arrested Christopher Philbrick around 4 a.m. after getting a report of a man threatening others in the area of Portland and Central streets. Police say he fled when they arrived, but later was found in an alley.

Police did not say what might have prompted the incident.

Charges against Philbrick include criminal threatening with a deadly weapon, criminal trespass and felon in possession of a deadly weapon. He was expected to be arraigned Monday afternoon.
