CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – A judge has ordered a Pittsfield couple accused of violating wetland and terrain alterration laws to stabilize a 15-acre site within 15 days.

Merrimack County Superior Court Kathleen McGuire issued the preliminary injunction against Ralph and Gail Tucci. They must pull back steep slopes and install special mesh blankets to trap loose dirt and rocks.

The state alleges that despite repeated efforts to have the Tuccis comply, they violated state laws by clearing and grading more than 100,000 square feet without a permit and affected more than two acres of streams and wetlands.

The court has not yet scheduled the case for trial.
