WINDSOR, Conn. (AP) – A 67-year-old woman was killed when a fire swept through her home Monday afternoon, police and fire officials said.
Authorities said the fire broke out at about 3 p.m. at Judith Garrity’s home on Ludlow Road. They said she lived alone.
Garrity’s body was brought to the chief medical examiner’s office in Farmington for an autopsy.
Police and fire officials were investigating the cause of the blaze, which left the home heavily damaged.
