CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – New Hampshire is looking for a good winter tourism season, with more visitors than last year – and more spending.
A report prepared for the state Division of Travel and Tourism Development says spending is likely to go up about 5 percent over last year’s record level of about $835 million. The Institute for New Hampshire Studies also expects the number of visitors to increase by 2 percent from last winter, to more than 6.3 million.
Most of the visitors come from the Northeast, but visitors from Europe also are expected to increase, for the third winter in a row.
