NOTTINGHAM, N.H. (AP) – Town officials closed a deal to preserve 133 acres of forests and wetlands.
The parcel near Route 4 includes trees that USDA forest officials say date as far back as 500 years.
Nottingham officials paid $155,000 to landowners Don and Susan Comte for development rights to the land. The New Hampshire Estuaries Project contributed $50,000 and other donors kicked in another $5,000.
