BOSTON (AP) – A longtime Delta Air Lines worker was struck and killed by a deicing truck at Logan International Airport on Tuesday morning.

The 44-year-old Malden man was walking on the tarmac outside Terminal C around 6:30 a.m. when he stepped into the path of a truck used to remove ice from aircraft, said David Procopio, spokesman for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office.

The man was later identified by family members as Henry Marshall, of Malden. A woman who answered the phone at a number listed under that name declined to comment, requesting privacy for the family.

The truck was driven by another Delta employee who had worked with the man for several years, Procopio said. That driver was hospitalized for stress-related injuries, Procopio said.

Procopio said his office was trying to determine whether charges should be filed against the driver, but added, “At this point, all the evidence points to this being a horrible, horrible accident.”

Delta released a statement in which it expressed sympathy for Marshall’s family.
