Dear Sun Spots: I am the producer of Buckfield High School’s upcoming musical “Little Shop of Horrors.”

We are in search of a dentist chair and floral/bakery cooler as set pieces and props for the show. These items can be old or new, and don’t need to be in working condition.

If you are interested in loaning one of these items to the Buckfield Music Department for the show (April 27-29) please contact Meghan Andrews-Wright by phone at 336-2557 or via e-mail at mwright@msad39.org. – Meghan Andrews-Wright, Buckfield.

Answer: In addition to responses from readers, you might consider contacting Dan Poulin at Orphan Annie’s, 96 Court St., Auburn, 782-0638. Another option would be to check out the Web to see if you can locate anything.

You might also check in with any of the local high schools who may have produced this show in the past and may have a chair in their prop’s department they’d be willing to share with you and your cast.

Dear Sun Spots: In the Feb. 6 edition of the paper, on page C13 there was an article about “Les Raquetteurs” with a photo of several female Raquetteurs.

Is there some way that you can give the names of the ladies in that photo?

One of them really looks like my mom, and I would love to know if it, in fact, is.

I would appreciate any help you can give me on this picture. Thanks for your help.

Again, I appreciate Sun Spots immensely. - No Name, Buxton.

Consider contacting the Franco American Collection, University of Southern Maine Lewiston-Auburn, 51 Westminster St., Lewiston, ME 04240, 753-6545 or via e-mail at franco@usm.maine.edu.

Sun Spots is sure since you read the article that you are aware the Raquetteurs exhibit is taking place and includes old pictures, programs, club histories, trophies, medallions and other artifacts. Contact the college for more details.

Dear Sun Spots: I am looking for an organization that reuses trophies and plaques that are no longer wanted.

Most of these are softball trophies, but others are wooden plaques with metal engraved plates that can be removed.

I have seen this request in the past and think an organization used it for Special Olympics. Thank you for any assistance. – Laurie Damon, No Town.

Answer:
Contact John F. Murphy Homes, 1512 Minot Ave., Auburn, 782-1780 (ask for Dan).

Dear Sun Spots: I wanted to write and thank your readers for sending me their Box Tops for Education for Turner Elementary school.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated. We collected $1,000.20.

If anyone has any that they can donate, we are still collecting them.

They can be mailed to me: Laurie Labbe, 5 Brookfield Estate, Turner, ME 04282. Again, thanks for all the help. – Laurie Labbe, Turner.

Dear Sun Spots: You’ve helped me before and I’m hoping you can again.

I’m an elderly shut-in and am seeking a good running, non-electrical portable or standard typewriter.

The one I have has a few irksome faults.

I don’t own a computer. Thank you. I can be reached at 388-2129. – Paul Cavanaugh, No Town.
