The office of U.S. Housing and Urban Development approved $19.6 million in funding for Maine, to be distributed through HUD’s Neighborhood Stabilization Plan. The money is to help communities redevelop foreclosed properties that may be abandoned in the face of high foreclosure rates and declining home values.
In Maine, the funds will be distributed as follows:
