Incident report statistics

Between Friday Jan. 9 at 7 a.m. and Friday Jan. 16 at 7 a.m. this department responded to 650 calls for service. Of those calls, 208 of them were motor vehicle stops. Other calls were:

Criminal mischief

A mailbox at 275 Ferry Road was smashed overnight Jan. 9-10.

A window to an apartment at 127 Horton St. was shot by a BB overnight Jan. 12-13.

An apartment at 42 Walnut St. had damage occur to the entry door overnight Jan 10-11 during an apparent attempted burglary.

Two gates at the Chestnut Street garage, two at the Southern Gateway, and one at the Canal Street garage were broken over the weekend Jan. 9-12.

A vehicle parked at the Acme Club at 255 Park St. was dented sometime between 1-10 a.m. Jan. 10.

Thefts

A washing machine was stolen from the basement of 127 Campus Ave. prior to 11 a.m. Jan. 13.

A 14-foot fiberglass Tri-Haul boat was stolen from the lot of Lewiston Car Care at 1399 Lisbon St. overnight Jan. 9-10.

A patron of Planet Fitness at 40 East Ave. had her credit cards stolen from her purse while it was in the locker room between 1-4 p.m. Jan. 13.

A stamp machine was ripped off a wall and stolen over the weekend Jan. 9-12.

MV burglaries

A vehicle parked at 40 Blake St. was burglarized overnight Jan. 11-12. Entry was gained by breaking out a window, a Sony stereo was taken from inside.

A vehicle parked at Lewiston High School was burglarized prior to 3 p.m. Jan. 13; money and a bank card were taken.

Two vehicles parked at the Lewiston High School at 156 East Ave. was burglarized prior to 11 p.m. Jan. 9; cash and a GPS were taken from inside, the doors had been left unlocked.

A vehicle parked at 40 Pleasant St. was burglarized sometime prior to 9 p.m. Jan. 10.

Burglaries

An apartment at 123 Vale St. was burglarized between 5 a.m. and 3 p.m. Jan. 12. Property was taken from inside.

A residence at 22 Hillside Lane was burglarized prior to 7 p.m. Jan. 12. Entry was gained by prying an entry door. A 27-inch TV, tools, and medications were taken.

An apartment at 73 Knox St. was burglarized prior to 10 p.m. Jan. 12; a 46-inch TV was taken from inside.

An apartment at 176 Blake St. was burglarized between noon- 4 p.m. Jewelry was taken.

An apartment at 100 Pierce St. was burglarized on Jan,. 15 prior to 1 p.m.; a video game system and games were taken.

Daheem Richardson, 21, was arrested and charged with burglary, theft, and carrying a concealed weapon on Jan. 13 at 11 p.m. at 183 Oak St. Officers were dispatched to the area of 21 Stewart St. on Jan. 13 at 11:20 p.m. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, they found a female sitting in a black Jeep Cherokee. In the backseat of the car was a 37-inch Magnavox LCD TV that had been stolen from 73 Knox St. the previous night. She relayed to officers that she was helping her friend “D” out and that the television did not belong to her. Officers then contacted City Cab, which reported they had transported a male matching his description to 183 Oak St. a short while previous. Upon checking that address, they found Daheem, who was concealing a folding knife in his front pants pocket.

MV theft

A gold Ford Excursion which had been left running outside of the Derby Club at 40 Walnut St. on Jan. 16 at 12:50 a.m. was stolen and then abandoned at 200 Blake St. No damage was done to the vehicle.

Operating after suspension arrest

Tad Appleton, 28, was arrested and charged with operating without a license on Jan. 11 at 12:21 a.m. at Pine and Howe streets following a routine traffic stop.

Operating under the influence arrests

Steven Dumont, 57, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence on Jan. 10 at 12:18 a.m. at Sabattus Street and Bellegarde Avenue following a routine traffic stop.

Joel Johnston, 22, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence, possession of fictitious license, and operating after suspension on Jan. 10 at 12:24 a.m. at Main and Russell streets following a routine traffic stop.

Anthony Stilkey, 64, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence and operating without a license on Jan. 10 at 3:44 p.m. at 229 Blake St. after a citizen called to report a possible impaired driver.
