Rachel Willis of Portland stretches backstage during the Portland Ballet presentation Nutcracker Sweet – Meet and Greet at the Franco American Heritage Center in Lewiston on Sunday. The abbreviated version of the Victorian Nutcracker was held at the Franco center for the second year. Dancers came back onto the stage following the hour-long performance to meet with the audience. “It is the perfect introduction to ballet for kids,” said artistic director Eugenia O’Brien.
