AUGUSTA – The Department of Maine, Veterans of Foreign Wars has hired a claims consultant to work in the VFW service office at the Veterans Administration Center and Hospital at Togus.

With the workload increasing, the VFW has hired James J. Weiss, a life member of the Waterville VFW Post 1285, to work with Rene A. Deschene, the department service officer. Weiss is also post adjutant of the Waterville post and a resident of Albion. Any veteran needing assistance may call 623-5723 and make an appointment.
