LISBON – In a special meeting Monday night, the Town Council set a recall election on council Chairwoman Norma Wells for Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Voting in Ward II will be at the MTM Community Center on School Street, from 1 to 7 p.m. For absentee ballots, call 353-3000, ext. 112.

A recall petition was submitted by Lisbon Concerned Citizen’s Committee last week. Town Clerk Twila Lycette issued a certificate on Friday, validating 309 petition signatures.

The council reviewed and approved the certificate Monday night.
