SABATTUS — On Sunday afternoon, July 22, Pierre D. Michaud, 79, of Sabattus, a wonderful man, beloved husband, father and friend, lost his fight and went to be with God and other passed away family and friends.

Pierre, known as “Pete” to all, was born July 12, 1939, the son of Donat and Edna Dubois Michaud. One of many children, he grew up in Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of ’59. In 1960, he married Jean Martin and had three wonderful children, all his prides and joy. In 1981, he married Ann Michaud and they remained the love of each other’s lives until his death.

He was a member of the Sheet Metal Union, Local 17 of Boston, and an avid Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins fan, but especially the Pats. He could be seen around town with his beloved dog Miracle sitting on the seat of his walker. He loved to sing, build things and loved getting together with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Ann, and beloved dog, Miracle; his children Peter and wife, Vicky, Kenny and girlfriend, Terry Beard, and Bonnie and boyfriend, Jeff Ricker; grandchildren Stephanie and husband, Mat Diffin, Mandi Stetson, Ryan Dube, Nicholas Goddard, Joe and his wife, Sue Tracey, and Chris Harris; great-grandchildren Oliver Diffin, Brantley Diffin and Jordan Harris; a sister, Constance Michaud; and two brothers, Edward and wife, Doris Michaud, and Normand and wife, Marilyn Michaud.

Besides his mother and father, he was predeceased by two brothers, Gerard and Richard (John).
