LISBON – One person escaped with apparently minor injuries, and combined damages were estimated at $7,500 in a crash involving four cars at 5:05 p.m. Saturday on Route 196.
Sandra Gauthier, 43, of Auburn was driving west toward Lewiston when her car struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Donna Pagnani, 26, of Lewiston, according to Lisbon police officer Renee Bernard.
Pagnani had stopped for a third car, driven by Renee Albert, 44, of Las Vegas, Nev., who had stopped for a fourth car, not involved, in order to make a left turn onto Gartley Street.
A car approaching from the opposite direction, driven by Cassidy Lavers, 19, of Lisbon Falls was also damaged when it was struck by flying debris from the crash, officer Bernard said. A passenger in Albert’s car, 76-year-old Lorna Albert, also of Las Vegas, complained of neck pain, but declined medical attention.
Damage was estimated at $1,500 to Gauthier’s 1999 Ford Explorer; $2,500 to Pagnani’s 1998 Nissan Altima; $2,000 to Albert’s Chrysler rental car owned by Hertz; and $500 to Lavers’ 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier.
