Dear Sun Spots: A while back, Community Little Theater, better known as The Great Falls Performing Arts Center, had a problem with their lighting. Their whole system needed to be upgraded which was to run in the thousands of dollars. Anyone wishing to donate can do so by calling 783-0958, drop by on Mondays or mail it to the Great Falls Performing Arts Center, 30 Academy St. in Auburn. – No Name, No Town.

Answer: Sun Spots has learned that the lighting system has since been replaced and the theater is now working on updating its sound system. She has not been able to receive a response regarding the cost and updating needed to be done. She would recommend you contact the theater first, before donating, to ensure there is still a need for this.

Dear Sun Spots: I have been looking for a type of Popsicle that Hannaford used to carry. But they do not any more. Do you know where I could find Lick-a-Color popsicles, around Lewiston or the Paris area. If you could it would wonderful. Thank you. – No Name, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: Please find the following recipe for M. of Lewiston seeking maple walnut fudge in the Oct. 27 column, No Name, No Town:

Maple walnut fudge ingredients: 1 cups sugar, 2/3 cup milk, 1 cup maple syrup, 1 cup walnuts, 2 tbls butter. Method: Boil sugar, milk and maple syrup until they reach the soft ball stage. Add butter, beat, add nuts and pour into buttered pan.

Dear Sun Spots: How would one be able to get in contact with the actor Jacob Smith, who played on “Cheaper by the Dozen 2” movie? Thanks. – No Name, No Town.

In the meantime, you might also be interested to note that Jacob Smith was born Jonathan Jacob Charles William Smith on Jan. 21, 1990, in Monrovia, Calif. He is perhaps best known for his role in the film “Cheaper by the Dozen” and its 2005 sequel. Smith is Jewish Christian, has a brother, Nathaniel, a sister, Natasha, and an orange cat named Riley. His parents are divorced; he lives with his father in Monrovia.

He listens to punk/rock music and was in a band called My September Story. Smith also enjoys skating, and was on a skating team in his hometown. Smith is a student at Monrovia High School. He played the electric guitar in the most recent band that he was in, Althea, but the band broke up.

Dear Sun Spots: I have had pet ducks all my life. Usually poultry will lay an egg a day. Sometimes, the duck or chicken will hold the egg (not intentionally) and so a second eggshell forms around the first egg. This makes the egg much larger. It’s harder for the duck or chicken to lay the egg and sometimes causes health problems or even death. I hope this helps the person who asked. – Trina Suydam, No Town.
