DURHAM – One driver was injured and two vehicles demolished in a car-truck crash at a three-way intersection on Route 9 Thursday morning.
Maine State Police Sgt. Mike Edes identified the drivers as Michael Graham, 44, of Gardiner and Cynthia Blake, 46, of Durham.
Blake was taken by Durham Fire and Rescue to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesperson said.
Blake was driving east on Route 9 straight onto Swamp Road as Graham was traveling west from Route 9 onto Plummers Mill Road, Edes said. He described the intersection as dangerous because it is located part-way down a winding hill on Route 9 where the three roads intersect and there no yield sign.
Blake’s 2004 Chevrolet and Graham’s 1992 Chevrolet pickup were destroyed in the 6:39 a.m. crash. No charges were filed.
