LEWISTON – A prison guard from Lewiston will be in court next week to answer a charge that he had sex with a 15-year-old girl he met over a telephone chat line.

Randy J. Klemansky, 34, of 113 Gagne St., was indicted by an Androscoggin County grand jury this month on a charge of sexual abuse of a minor.

Prosecutors say on March 23, Klemansky met with the teenager at his home after they became acquainted during a phone chat.

The charge does not imply that Klemansky forcibly raped the girl but her age constitutes the Class C charge of sexual abuse of a minor.

A guard at Maine Correctional Center in Windham, Klemansky has been placed on leave from that position pending court action. He is scheduled to appear in Androscoggin County Superior Court on June 26.
