DURHAM – A Lewiston man lost his SUV to an engine fire Monday afternoon.

Billy Jack Fuller told firefighters he was having engine problems before he pulled his 1991 Ford Explorer to the side of Newell Brook Road just before 5 p.m.

The engine compartment was full of flames when firefighters arrived, Chief Bill St. Michel said. The vehicle was totaled.
