LISBON – A 27-year-old Lisbon Falls man, Christian Glidden, of 9 Sparsam St., was indicted Wednesday on 11 counts of possession of sexually explicit materials and two counts of unlawful sexual touching.
The Androscoggin Superior Court indictment caps a four-month investigation by Lisbon police following a complaint filed with that department.
Lisbon police detectives Bernie McAllister and William Tapley executed a search warrant issued by 8th District Court in Lewiston on Oct. 1 for the residence of Audrey, Donald and Christian Glidden. As a result of that search, McAllister said a number of items were seized from the home.
It should be noted, he said, that the Glidden home was a licensed day care at the time, and “Therefore the Maine Department of Human Services Institutional Abuse Team was notified and was involved in the investigation from the very beginning.”
According to a spokesman at the DHS child care licensing division, the day care center, which was operated by Glidden’s parents, Audrey and Donald Glidden, is now closed.
Glidden was arrested Jan. 10 on one count of possession of sexually explicit material and was released from Lisbon Police Department on $500 cash bail with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in 8th District Court on Feb. 28 on that charge.
Since the indictment was handed up Wednesday, a summons was issued for his arrest.
McAllister was assisted in the investigation by the Maine Computer Crimes Task Force in Lewiston as well as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Anyone with information concerning the case may contact McAllister at 207-353-2500.
