LEWISTON – Mayor Larry Gilbert will host a Coffee with the Mayor session from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Willy Beans, the cafe at 70 Lincoln St., Bates Mill No. 6.

Gilbert meets monthly with members of the community who wish to share ideas, thoughts or concerns.

The Jan. 26 coffee will lead into a 10:30 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony for Willy Beans, which opened for business on Jan. 2. Owned by Michael Lemieux and William Hall, the eatery’s offerings include breakfast items, homemade soups, wraps, paninis, salads, baked goods, coffee and other beverages.

“Chatting with members of the community and celebrating a new business is certainly a great way to start the day. I hope many folks will visit Willy Beans to share with me what’s on their mind, as well as enjoy the new eatery,” Gilbert said in a written statement.
