LEWISTON – The search continued Monday for a teenager suspected of stabbing a man on Walnut Street a day earlier.

Police recovered a knife and said a suspect was identified in the stabbing of 27-year-old Abdi Aden, who was attacked during a fight with a teenager at Walnut and Pierce streets.

Aden was listed in fair condition Monday at Central Maine Medical Center where he was being treated for three or four stab wounds.

Police said Aden was stabbed after arguing with the teen as a large group gathered at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday on Walnut Street.

Detectives interviewed several suspects from the brawl and were continuing to search for the suspect late Monday.
