Two people were taken to the hospital with possible neck injuries Thursday morning after an accident involving four vehicles outside Hannaford in Oxford. Officer Alan Coffin of the Oxford Police Department said a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am driven by 34-year-old Kenneth Marsh of Oxford rear-ended a 2001 Dodge Caravan driven by 41-year-old Jason White of Gray at 10:55 a.m. The impact pushed the van into a 2008 Saturn driven by 76-year-old Robert Desjardins of Auburn, which rear-ended a 1997 Ford Explorer driven by 32-year-old Starr Hatch of Norway. Northbound traffic was diverted through the Hannaford parking lot while emergency crews worked on the scene.
