Democrats to hear from Wettlaufer
AUBURN – The Auburn Democratic City Committee will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at the Auburn Public Library. Members are asked to use the Spring Street entrance.
Meeting business will include a talk originally scheduled for May by Kim Wettlaufer, executive director of the Jubilee Center at Trinity Episcopal church. Wettlaufer will speak on the Jubilee Center’s mission. Members are asked to bring a nonperishable item to contribute to the Jubilee Center pantry.
Other guests will include Stephanie Clifford, political director of the Tom Allen for Senate Committee, and Andrea Quaid, regional field director for U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud.

Conservative to address GOP
AUBURN – The president and CEO of the Maine Heritage Policy Center will address the monthly meeting of the Auburn Republican Committee at 7 p.m. Monday at Auburn City Hall, Room 302.
Bill Becker’s remarks will cover the recently passed general fund budget and strategies to reduce Maine’s tax burden.
