LEWISTON – People interested in purchasing a home or making repairs or modernizations to their homes may be able to qualify for USDA Rural Development assistance.

USDA Rural Development will conduct housing information meetings for residents who are interested in purchasing a home as their primary residence or for obtaining home repair loans for a home they currently own and live in.

The public is encouraged to learn more by visiting a meeting at the following locations:

USDA Service Center, 254 Goddard Road, Tuesday, April 17, between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and 4 and 6 p.m.

Career Center, 865 Route 2E, Wilton, Wednesday, May 9, between noon and 2 p.m. and Tuesday, May 15, between 3 and 5 p.m.

Career Center, 2 Anthony Ave., 109 State House Station , Augusta, Thursday, May 17, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and between 3:30 and 5 p.m.

Waterville Public Library, 73 Elm St., Wednesday, May 16, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Tuesday, May 22, between 4 and 6:30 p.m.

Fryeburg Public Library, 515 Main St., Tuesday, April 24, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and Monday, April 30, between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.

Career Center, 232 Main St., South Paris, Friday, April 27, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and Thursday, May 3, between 3 and 5 p.m.

Rumford Public Library, 58 Rumford Ave., Wednesday, May 2, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and Thursday, May 10, between 4 and 6 p.m.
