LEWISTON – Bates College students are holding an auction Sunday to raise money for an “alternative spring break” in Mississippi, where they will do hurricane restoration work.

Two dozen students and two faculty members will leave for Biloxi, Miss., on April 15 to work with a group called Hands On Gulf Coast.

Sunday’s service-auction fundraiser will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. in Skelton Lounge, Chase Hall, 56 Campus Ave. The event is open to the public.

Auction items include dance lessons, a vegetarian meal for four and hedge-trimming. For a complete list of items, go to http://abacus.bates.edu/~ereed2/ServiceAuction.htm
