FARMINGTON – The Maine Antique Tractor Club has announced the 11th annual Tractor Festival will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 23, 24 and 25, at the Farmington Fairgrounds. Admission will be $5 for adults; $2, children ages 11 to 17; and children under 10, free.
The festival will have more than 200 old tractors on display. There will be tractor games, lawn and garden tractor pulling, women’s skillet toss and men’s hay bale toss, pedal tractor pull for small children, followed by a children’s toy auction, a parade of tractors, tractor games and antique tractor pulls (tractors must be pre-1961).
In addition, there will be a large flea market and swap meet all three days. Some old machinery demonstrations, an antique engine show, a children’s area and crafters and vendors will be on site.
The club is a nonprofit organization that focuses on the preservation of information, documents and artifacts relating to the invention, development and use of farm tractors and related implements and equipment. Members also endeavor to teach present and future generations about the uses of antique tractors, implements and equipment and show them at work.
