LEWISTON – A local woman was indicted Wednesday and charged with providing liquor to young teenagers and then having sex with them.
Katherine Marie Holt, 20, of 34 College St., was charged with three counts of sexual abuse of a minor, three counts of furnishing liquor to minors and a charge of gross sexual assault.
The indictment charges that on Nov. 19, Holt engaged in a sexual act with 14-year-old girl who was unconscious or incapable of resisting. The indictment also charges that Holt provided that girl with liquor before the sex act was committed.
On Dec. 8, police say Holt committed similar acts in the same fashion. She is accused of furnishing alcohol to a 13-year-old girl and 14-year-old boy on that day, and of having sex with the boy.
The same 14-year-old is named as the victim of Holt’s sexual attacks on Jan. 18. It was believed the teenagers were familiar with Holt, but the nature of those relationships was not described in the indictment.
Holt has a criminal history of furnishing liquor to minors as well as convictions for theft, obstructing government administration and disorderly conduct.
On Wednesday, she was being held at the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn on a charge of violating bail. The case against her was being investigated by Lewiston police Detective Ronald Dumont.
