DEAR SUN SPOTS: I read your column everyday and enjoy it very much. What I would like is to find the sheet music to “Angels Among Us.” I have searched and searched and can’t seem to find it anywhere. I would like my nephew and family to sing it for me if I can find the sheet music. He plays the piano. I would like them to play and sing at my funeral. I’m in my 80s. — No Name, Farmington
ANSWER: I know that it’s frustrating for Sun Spots’ older readers and those without access to a computer to be told time and time again to go to the Internet, but the fact is that many things have moved online and may no longer be available elsewhere.
But take heart. Even if you don’t have a relative to help you navigate the Net, you do have options. Most public libraries have computer access, and if you visit at a time when they are not too busy, the librarian should be able to assist you with your search.
As for your specific query, there are several online sources for sheet music. www.sheetmusicfox.com says that your music is free at their site. Another freebie site is http://coolsheetmusic.homestead.com/files/angels1.jpg. At www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic, you’ll have to pay and then download your music digitally.
Sun Spots suggests you cut this clipping out and give it to your nephew and leave the rest to him!

ANSWER: Sun Spots is very curious as to why it is so important that that day be Saturday and wishes you had explained. She also regrets to report that it was a Thursday.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Would you please check to see if anyone does origami with paper money? I would like initials made for Christmas. Thank you for a great service. Hope you never stop. — No Name, No City
ANSWER: There are several sites on the Internet where you can watch a video and learn to do it yourself. Hopefully, there is a reader in the region who already possesses this skill.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: Some time ago, a benefit concert was held to assist Piper Davidson, a local girl who has cystic fibrosis, and her mother, Shanna Pittman. As one of those who organized the concert, I wanted to express my gratitude to all those who helped make the event a success.
Enough money was raised to help the family buy a vehicle and some gifts for Piper. Many people and businesses donated time or goods; the thoughtfulness and generosity of all who had a hand in the event are the very reason why it was successful. My thanks to all, and to those who attended the concert as well. — John Brooks, Lewiston
DEAR READERS: Sun Spots has received a great many letters of late, so if you wrote her and have not received an answer, please be patient. Also, some letters take longer to answer, especially if they involve e-mailing a big company and waiting for an answer.
This column is for you, our readers. It is for your questions and comments. There are only two rules: You must write to the column and sign your name (we won’t use it if you ask us not to). Please include your phone number. Letters will not be returned or answered by mail, and telephone calls will not be accepted. Your letters will appear as quickly as space allows. Address them to Sun Spots, P.O. Box 4400, Lewiston, ME 04243-4400. Inquiries can also be e-mailed to [email protected].
