WELD — The Planning Board will hold a public hearing Wednesday on a proposed 14-lot subdivision on the West Side Road. Archie’s Inc. of Mexico is proposing to build about 2,000 feet of roadway to access 13 single-family residential lots.
The hearing will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 9 in the multipurpose room of the Weld Town Office.
“It’s 14 lots on West Side Road with beautiful views of Webb Lake,” Weld Code Enforcement Officer Katharine Shoaps said Friday. Thirteen lots would be sold and one would be retained by the owner, she said. The price of the lots has not been established, she said.
The 13 lots are not on the lake, she said, but on the west side of the lake up the road from Mt. Blue State Park.
The Planning Board has accepted the application as complete. A hearing is optional but the board chose to hold it to inform people about what is being proposed and address any concerns people may have, she said.
Consulting engineer on the project, Tom DuBois of Main-Land Development Consultants Inc., is handling the application for the owner. He said the lots to be sold range from 1.37 acres to 4.35 acres. The 13 lots and the road combined equal about 35 acres.
The lot to be retained by the owner is 278 acres and that lot does touch the lake, he said. There would be a new road built and none of the existing fire lanes would be used, DuBois said.
