MINOT – Town Clerk Nikki Verrill announced Friday a recount of ballots cast in the March 3 vote on the town’s revised comprehensive plan will be done next week.
Verrill said she ordered the recount after she verified as valid 51 signatures on the petition submitted by Marston Hill Road resident Roland “Ronnie” Berry.
Berry challenged the comprehensive plan vote, which voters approved 171-162, with seven ballots left blank.
Verrill noted that Berry’s petition needed only 34 signatures.
The recount will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at the town office
