AUBURN – Five people have been indicted on a total of 20 counts stemming from a closing-hour brawl outside of the nightclub Mixers in Sabattus in August.
Sabattus police required help from Lewiston and Maine State Police and Androscoggin County sheriff’s deputies to quell the fight.
A witness said the melee started shortly after the bar’s 1 a.m. closing on Aug. 6. Initially it appeared to involve two combatants but then quickly spread. The witness estimated that at one point more than a dozen people were fighting in several places in Mixers’ parking lot.
In indictments handed up Friday by the Androscoggin County grand jury, five men were each indicted on one count of aggravated assault and three counts of assault.
Awaiting trial on the charges are:
• Corey S. Buzzell, 24, of 339 Depot St., Wilton.
• Jared K. Buzzell, 21, of Canton.
• Kevin J. Dominiczak, 24, of 129 School St., South Portland.
• Daniel Waite, 24, of 24 Elmwood St., Portland.
• Matthew S. Waite, 21, of 323 Haysfords Court, Canton.
