SABATTUS – The Planning Board has raised its fees to help create a wage system for members who attend the meetings.
Board hearing fees are now $100, and subdivision application fees have increased depending on the plan size.
Minor subdivisions, of four lots or fewer, now have a required $250 application fee plus an additional $100 per lot. For subdivisions of five or more, there will be a $500 application fee in addition to the $100 fee per lot.
“The members spend a lot of time and gas money driving out to these sites,” Selectman Gino Camardese said. “I think we all agree that they deserve something back.”
With this new scale in effect, members will receive $50 per monthly meeting with the exception of the chairman and secretary, who will receive $100 per meeting.
