WISCASSET – Derek Bo Dube will return to Maine this week to face numerous charges in Lincoln County.
At a court hearing Monday in New Hampshire, the 26-year-old Dube and a friend each agreed to waive extradition, police said.
Dube and 19-year-old Jessie Brewer of Edgecomb are expected to be driven back to Maine on Wednesday. Dube will be turned over to Lincoln County sheriff’s officials in Wiscasset, police said. Brewer is expected to be taken to the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn to face a charge of hindering apprehension.
Dube, who evaded capture for four days, is facing charges in connection with two home invasions and several burglaries in the Boothbay Harbor area. He is also accused of leading Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies on two car chases early last week.
Dube and Brewer were arrested Saturday at the Wakeda Campground in Hampton Falls, N.H., after a manhunt involving dozens of local, state, county and federal police officers.
