LEWISTON – Lewiston-Auburn members of the state House of Representatives will hold open hours at the Lewiston Mall during the legislative session in an effort to ensure accessibility to their constituents.
The sessions are for people to talk with their representatives about state government, services available to them, bills being considered in the Legislature and any other concerns they may have.
The open office hours will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on the first Saturday of every month, beginning with Feb. 1 and continuing March 5, April 2, May 11 and June 4.
Residents who are unable to visit the Lewiston Mall but who want to speak with a state representative can do so by calling the message centers in Augusta during session days. The toll-free number for the House of Representatives is 1-800-423-2900. The number for the Senate is 1-800-423-6900.
