LEWISTON – Lots to Gardens, a youth-driven urban gardening project, will hold a community fun day today at Kennedy Park Farmers Market.
There are several garden spaces throughout Lewiston that involve work with young adults, the elderly and children. Lots to Gardens aims to increase the community’s access to fresh, high quality food. People are welcome to attend and talk to the team of youth gardeners who have worked for this program all summer.
There will be games for all ages, music and information on lead poisoning, worm composting, local food systems and recipes.
