BETHEL -A training seminar will be held May 21 to 23 on healing the effects of trauma. A team of providers from Therapeutic Spiral International will bring together their expertise using music, movement and psychodrama as a means of working with trauma often silenced within the mind, body and spirit.
Kathy Amsden, LCSW of Auburn, will co-lead the three day event along with Mario Cossa, a psychodramatist, drama therapist and trainer of the Therapeutic Spiral Model, Linda Ciotola, yoga and health/fitness educator, psychodramatist and specialist in treating eating disorders, and Kimberly Burden a dance movement therapist, practitioner of body-mind centering, psychodramatist and teacher of dance/movement therapy at Antioch New England.
The workshop is for those interested in the field of trauma, including therapists, community leaders and service providers, health care professionals, teachers, guidance counselors, mental health agencies, administrators and college students. No experience is expected.
