LEWISTON – Maine labor experts will present a panel discussion on community and labor from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at Lewiston-Auburn College, classroom 105.
The presentation, hosted by Professor Barry Rodrigue’s class on “Labor, Literature, & the Arts” is open to the public. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided.
The panelists will include Leslie Manning, field representative of the Maine State Employees Association; Ned McCann, secretary-treasurer of the Maine AFL-CIO; Hsin-Yi Lu, professor at L-A College and researcher of labor and community studies in Taiwan; Don Berry, president of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Electrical Workers Union Local 567; Wayne Hollingworth, ex-president of the Maine State Employees Association and an L-A College activist; and Penelope Graham, manager, nursing and metals industry in Maine and Illinois, among others.
