LISBON – The Lisbon Police Department is seeking information from the public regarding a reported sexual assault case that took place on Aug. 21 between 9 and 10 p.m. in the downtown area of Lisbon Village. Lisbon police were notified Aug. 29.

The victim, who suffered “some significent bruising to the right side of her face,” described her assailant as a black male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with dreadlocks and a muscular build, age unknown but possibly 28-32 years old. He was wearing gold hoop earrings in both ears, and gold necklaces, according to the report.

The man had no distinct voice, other than sounding like he was from an area other than Maine, police were told. A white or silver four-door vehicle was seen leaving the area shortly after the incident, headed toward Lewiston on Route 196.
