TURNER – Three people escaped injury Thursday night in a two-car collision on Route 4 near Murray’s store and gas station.

State Police Trooper Nathan Jamo said Teri Clavet, 18, of 12 Orange St. in Lewiston was coming off Lower Street to go south and didn’t see Harold Damon, 49, of Buckfield, who was headed south on Route 4.

“Damon took evasive action and hit her left rear tire instead of her door,” he said. “She was lucky.”

Neither Clavet, nor Damon and Damon’s wife, Judith, were injured, he said. All were wearing seat belts.

Clavet was summoned to court on a charge of failure to yield the right of way, Jamo said.

Assisting him at the 9:20 p.m. crash was fellow Trooper Shawn Labrie.

Clavet’s 1999 Pontiac had an estimated $2,500 damage; Damon’s 1992 Honda, $5,500.
