TURNER – Planners will hold an economic summit in late June to get citizen input on development and to share community surveys and business perspectives.

The agenda includes presentations on the economic condition of the community, on information gathered from local businesses and the results of a community survey to ascertain residents’ priorities for development.

Those attending will be asked to join small groups to address questions and express opinions concerning agriculture, tourism, development of the Route 4 corridor, the town’s infrastructure and transportation.

The visioning session is sponsored by the town’s Economic Development Committee, the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce, the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments and the Maine Department of Labor.

The meeting is slated to begin with registration at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 26, at Leavitt Area High School. Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Chip Morrison will welcome attendees, who are asked to RSVP to AVCOG by June 20.
