LEWISTON — The Center for Wisdom’s Women, a local drop-in center for women, formerly known as Wisdom’s Center, will host an informational meeting of Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at the center, 97 Blake St.
Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous is a 12-step program that helps people of all ages who have a problem with food, including people who are struggling with problems such as obesity, bulimia, under-eating or distorted body images.
Anyone who wants to stop eating addictively is welcome to the program. There is no weigh-in at the meetings, or any dues or fees.
Members will be available to discuss the program of recovery and answer questions. Literature about the program will be available, free of charge.
