LEWISTON – Lewiston residents are urged to get their clean-up piles ready for hauling by early Monday morning.

This week, city crews are scheduled to begin collecting roadside piles in neighborhoods with regular Thursday trash collections.

Assistant Public Works Director Dave Jones said piles need to be out and ready to be picked up by 7 a.m. Monday.

“We’re getting calls from people who say we skipped them, but we know they put their piles out after our truck went past,” Jones said. “We’re not going back. If it’s not out there when we go by, it’s up to the property owner to haul it at that point.”

Lewiston crews are scheduled to finish spring cleanup next week. Collections in neighborhoods with regular Friday trash collections are scheduled to begin May 5.
